Application of ME100 HEMC (50000 mPas(Brookfield viscosity)) hydroxyethyl methylcellulose

Many mortar production companies use HEMC(hydroxyethyl methylcellulose) as a chemical raw material. However, Some companies are not sure which type of HEMC is suitable for them.

 

Now let’s introduce our ME100 model HEMC. Our HEMC ME100(Middle viscosity) is one kind of white flowing powder, It can be used in many kinds of mortars. It is 80 mesh, which is very fine. The transmittance (HEMC is put into water to form a transparent colloid, check its transmittance)is very high, with less insoluble matter; our HEMC has a larger specific gravity, higher hydroxyethyl content, and superior water retention.

 

It can be used in:

 

  1. Skim coat/Wall putty:

Good water retention and low viscosity. This kind of viscosity hydroxyethyl methylcellulose is mainly used to retain water, bond and lubricate putty powder to prevent gaps and dehydration caused by rapid water shortage. At the same time, it improves the adhesion of wall putty, reduces fluidity and suspension conditions during the construction process, and makes the construction relatively stable.


  1. Tile adhesive:

The tile adhesive should be HEMC with a viscosity of 50000mPas. Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose with this viscosity can significantly improve the bonding strength of ceramic tile adhesives, shorten the construction cycle, be fine and uniform, easy to construct, and have good moisture resistance.

  1. Plastering:

The high-water retention properties completely hydrate the plastering, significantly improving the bonding compressive strength. At the same time, the compressive strength and shear strength can be appropriately increased, thereby improving the actual construction effect and efficiency.

  1. Joint filler:

The HEMC 100M gives it good edge adhesion, low shrinkage and high wear resistance, protecting basic materials from mechanical damage and preventing penetration from affecting the entire construction.

  1. Other classes in practical applications:

The viscosity of HEMC is inversely proportional to temperature, that is, the viscosity increases as the temperature decreases and decreases as the temperature increases. What we usually refer to as the viscosity of a product refers to the Brookfield viscosity test result of its 2% solution at a temperature of 20 degrees. In practical applications, in areas with large temperature differences between summer and winter, it should be noted that it is recommended to use a relatively lower viscosity in winter, which is more conducive to construction. Otherwise, when the temperature is low, the viscosity of the HEMC will increase, and the hand will feel heavy when scraping.
